Stourbridge have confirmed the re-signing of Luke Benbow, marking the end of the striker’s second spell with Solihull Moors.

Benbow re-joined the Moors last summer from Stourbridge, having previously had a short spell with the club during the 2011/12 season.

Despite showing glimpses of his prolific reputation during last summer’s pre-season campaign, Benbow was hampered by injury and struggled to make an impact for Solihull Moors in the early part of the season, making only four appearances.

The 26-year-old was then loaned back to Stourbridge last November, initially to help build the forward’s fitness, but he eventually remained with the Glassboys until the end of the season, where he scored 17 goals in 35 games.

Benbow now re-joins Gary Hackett’s side ahead of the 2018/19 season, marking his third permanent spell at War Memorial Athletic Ground.
