Midfielder Ryan Beswick has today confirmed his departure from Solihull Moors, after seven years at the club.

Beswick first joined the Moors during the 2009/10 season and went onto make nearly 250 appearances for the club.

The 28-year-old has been a key player for the Moors over the years and was part of the double-winning squad of the 2015/16 season, that won both the National League North and the Birmingham Senior Cup.

He also scored the club’s first ever National League goal, scoring the opener in the Moors’ opening day win over Sutton United last August.

Beswick confirmed his departure via a statement on his personal twitter account, stating:

‘Gutted to say this but after 7 years at the club (Solihull Moors) it’s time to move on. It’s been an unbelievable journey and I would like to thank the fans for their continued support throughout the years.

‘There’s been some lows and as well as a lot of highs, it would have been nice to say goodbye properly but that’s football.

‘I wish the club the best moving forward, despite my time coming to a strange end, there are a lot of good people still there.

‘Lastly I want to thank all the players I’ve played with over the years, I’ve met some friends for life and lifting that trophy with that group of lads will live in my memory forever.’

He’s certainly been a fantastic servant for Solihull Moors over the years. All the best, Bez!
