Solihull Moors face up to the challenge of the Under-23’s side from Championship side Birmingham City later today, in the latest pre-season test for Tim Flowers’ side.
The fixture will take place at Birmingham City’s training ground at Wast Hills with a kick-off time of 5pm and fans are not be permitted to attend.
The Moors have made a strong start to pre-season so far, picking up two wins from two, claiming a comfortable 3-0 win away at Tamworth and an even more convincing 5-0 win away at Evesham United.
The squad is also once again expected to be a mix of first-team players, trialists and a few prospects from the Moors Academy squad.
Striker Danny Wright missed out on Saturday’s win at Evesham, after scoring against Tamworth, but is likely to return for the Moors’ trip to the Trillion Trophy Training Centre.
Loanee Luke Maxwell will not able to face up against the side he is on loan from, having been loaned from Birmingham City to the Moors in a deal that runs until January, with the Blues making the young midfielder unavailable for this pre-season fixture.
