Solihull Moors have completed the signing of Burton Albion midfielder Ben Fox on a one-month youth loan deal.

The 19-year-old is a product of the Burton Albion academy and featured against the Moors for the Brewers in pre-season.

Fox signed his first professional contract at Burton in the summer of 2016 and has made four first-team appearances for the Championship side.

He recently scored his first professional goal in Brewers’ 2-1 win over Cardiff City in the League Cup last month.

The midfielder also spent time on loan at National League North side Tamworth last season, making 20 appearances in a half-season spell at the Lamb, impressing fans with a number of high-quality performances.

Moors boss Liam McDonald told the club’s official website of his delight at the capture of the highly-rated youngster and admitted that he has been a player whose progress he has followed closely in recent years.

‘I have kept an eye on Ben’s progress in recent years especially last season when he had a long loan spell at Tamworth.

‘He is a quality young player and will go straight into the squad for tomorrow’s home game against Macclesfield.’
