Solihull Moors have confirmed the departure of Jack Edwards by mutual consent with the midfielder making an immediate return to National League North side Leamington.

Edwards joined the Moors in June from Leamington and appeared in the Moors’ opening six league fixtures, starting three of them.

But with the signing of Brentford midfielder Zain Westbrooke on loan, coupled with the possible returns of Moors’ midfielders Simeon Maye and Ashley Sammons from injury in coming weeks, it has now become impossible for Solihull Moors boss to guarantee the 27-year-old first team football and it has now been mutually agreed that he will return to Leamington immediately.

What do you make of this departure? Think it’s a fair decision from Liam McDonald to let Edwards leave? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below!
