Former Solihull Moors manager Marcus Bignot has been appointed as a joint-manager at Guiseley, taking up this role alongside former Alfreton Town boss Russ O’Neill.
This will mark Bignot’s third managerial job since leaving Solihull Moors in November 2016, when the 43-year-old left the ATG to take over at League Two side Grimsby Town.
Bignot was eventually dismissed by the Mariners in April 2017, before taking the reins at Chester in September 2017, but following the club’s relegation from the National League, Bignot departed the Blues last month.
Bignot will now be hoping he can help Guiseley bounce back to the National League, following the club’s relegation to the National League North last season, in a campaign that saw former Moors defender Sean St. Ledger recently take caretaker charge of the club over the last couple of months of the season.
