Moors Academy face a tough test in the Midlands Football League Division Two this weekend, as they face table-toppers NKF Burbage at home on Saturday.

The Academy currently sit in 13th place in the 16-team league, in what is their first season at this level, having been promoted from the Midlands Football League Division Three last season.

Moors Academy have so far won three matches from 13 in this campaign, having drawn five games and lost another five.

They take on a NKF Burbage side who have lost just once in the league this term, having also been promoted from the Midlands Football League Division Three last season, where they were undefeated on their way to clinching the title.

Both sides have yet to take each other on in league action so far in 2017/18. They did, however, play against each other twice last season, with both games ending up as draws.

Moors Academy will be hoping that they can pick up some valuable points from the league leaders, as they look to pull themselves further away from the relegation zone and maintain their Division Two status.

The fixture takes place at the Academy’s Tally Ho ground, with a kick-off time of 2pm. And with the Solihull Moors first-team finding themselves without a fixture this weekend, the Academy would certainly value your support.

UPDATE – The match has been postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
