Solihull Moors are set to sign striker Kwame Thomas on a free transfer, after it was confirmed by Coventry City that they have cancelled the 22-year-old’s contract by mutual consent.

Thomas has been on loan from the Sky Blues since November, and was Mark Yates’ first signing after his appointment as Solihull Moors manager earlier that month.

The striker had been initially brought to the club until the beginning of January, but then saw his loan extended until the middle of February.

But with his contract now having been brought to an end at the Ricoh Arena, Yates has made the decision to bring Thomas in on a permanent basis.

The former Derby County youngster has appeared 13 times in all competitions for the Moors, and has scored twice.
