Solihull Moors have signed Bristol City youngster Opanin Edwards on loan until the end of the season.

The 18-year-old spent time at National League South club Bath City earlier this season where manager Jerry Gill praised his attitude and described him as ‘one of our best players in most of the games’.

Bristol City manager Lee Johnson was suitably impressed enough to give him a full debut at Vicarage Road in their FA Cup Third Round defeat to Watford.

Opi, to coin his nickname, operated as a right-winger in that cup fixture and it’s expected he will add competition and quality to the attacking trident in Mark Yates’ preferred 4-3-3 system.

He will wear the number 7 shirt vacated by Shepherd Murombedzi this week.
