Moors Academy prospect Jamie Chisholm has left the club to join up with Mansfield Town’s academy.

The 17-year-old was highly-rated by Moors Academy staff, as well as former boss Mark Yates, who had the youngster training with the first-team for a good period of last season.

Chisholm also appeared for the Solihull Moors first-team in the Birmingham Senior Cup, starting and playing the full 90 minutes in the defeat to Hednesford Town last December.

Chisholm was one of the stand-out players for the Moors Academy last season, making 25 appearances, as the Academy finished eighth in the Midlands Football League Division Two. The defensive midfielder also won four man of the match awards along the way.

Chisholm now joins up with the academy of League Two side Mansfield Town, whose Under-18s last season won the EFL Youth Alliance North East division, losing just one game all season and winning the league by 14 clear points.

Mansfield Town also have an Under-19s side that competes with one of the Moors Academy teams in the National League Under-19 Alliance. Last season the Stags also won that division, with the Moors Academy finishing in fourth.
