Solihull Moors Ladies are out of the FA Women’s Premier League Cup after a 2-1 defeat after extra time against Guiseley Vixens at Tally Ho.

The Moors Ladies, who play one level below Guiseley, gave a strong showing in the game and battled to send the game into extra time, with the score at 0-0 after 90 minutes.

It was Guiseley who took the lead in the extra time, with Danica Roberts scoring in the 107 minute of the game.

The lead only lasted five minutes though, as the Moors equalised in the 22nd minute of extra time through a Carly Davies strike.

But in the end it was heartbreak for Sarah Westwood’s side, as Naomi Chadwick fired home the winner for Guiseley with just three minutes left on the clock.

The Moors Ladies have now exited the FA WPL Cup at the determining round stage, but can now focus on their FA WPL Midland Division One campaign, where they have so far won both of their games so far this season.

Starting XI: Woolley; Davies, Dickinson, Grieve, Hargreaves, Harmison, Howard, Jeffries, Lester (Taylor), Parkes (Scott), White.
