Vice Presidents appointed to the Moors board

Solihull Moors have announced the appointments of four new vice presidents to the club.

Ray Bird, Graham Davison, Margaret Smith and Danny Thomas have all been appointed after their many years of service as directors in both the Solihull Borough and Solihull Moors eras.

Ray Bird originally joined Solihull Borough in 1991 after being asked to run the club’s reserve team. He is currently the secretary of the Moors Under 19’s who play on Wednesday’s in the National League Under 19’s division.

Graham Davison has served as both vice chairman of Solihull Borough and Moors, serving under current chairman Trevor Stevens.

Margaret Smith has been in her role of company secretary at the club for over 20 years.

Danny Thomas originally joined Solihull Borough in 1985 and in later years he was appointed to the board to aid with fund raising and property maintenance.

All four have given over 100 years of combined service to the club.

Chairman Trevor Stevens spoke of his delight at these appointments, he told the club’s official website, ‘Their long dedicated service is quite exceptional in this day and age. They have always supported me and their knowledge and friendship are things I truly value. They can be relied on to get things done whenever they are asked and I am so pleased that all four will still be here by my side as the Club moves forward even further. Thank you Margaret, Graham, Danny and Ray for everything.’
