Marcus Bignot has confirmed his intention to add a couple of new additions to the Solihull Moors squad in the near future.

Bignot has stated his desire to bring new faces to Damson Park, but has admitted that he will not have extra funds available to him for any new additions, meaning he will have to look to make changes to the current squad to enable further signings to take place.

“Hopefully we can bring in a couple of players to freshen it up and that`s what we`re working towards,” Bignot told the Birmingham Mail.

“The players are giving me everything but hopefully we can bring in a couple of additions to give them a boost.

“I won`t be asking for any more money because I understand the business side of the football club.

“The budget is the budget and I`m working to that.

“I have to look at ways to generate the money to bring in players.”

Changes have already begun to the squad that started the season, with Southport last week confirming the signing of left-sided defender Bobby Moseley, who had only joined the Moors in the summer having left Stoke City at the end of last season.

Some of the Moors youngsters have also made moves out on loan in recent weeks. Defender Nathaniel Kelly has been out on loan at Redditch United, while midfielders Charlie Morris and Donnell Benjamin have recently been loaned out to Barwell and Stratford Town, respectively.

One player who definitely won’t be making the move to Damson Park is Darryl Westlake. The former Kilmarnock man had been training with the Moors in recent weeks, and despite Bignot’s hopes to sign the defender, Westlake has now opted to sign for Stourbridge.
