Solihull Moors boss Liam McDonald believes tonight’s game at home to Chester is not a six pointer, despite the lowly positions both sides find themselves in the National League so far.

The Moors currently sit in 23rd with four points, while Chester sit in 21st place with seven points, with both sides looking for only their second win of the season in tonight’s fixture.

With both Solihull Moors and Chester languishing in the relegation zone at this early stage, some people have described the fixture as an early six-pointer, this is a sentiment Liam McDonald wholly disagrees with.

‘It’s not a six pointer, there’s loads of points to play for,’ McDonald said.

‘I think it is a winnable game at home. The lads are excited to play in it and one we want to make sure we put in a good performance.

‘If we do that then I’m sure we’ll get a positive result from it. We look forward to it, if we can get that win it can start a run for us.

‘We have got lads to come back that will strengthen the side and that’s the important thing. we need to keep our heads up, get some more players back There’s light at the end of the tunnel, there’s positives.’
