Moors London Bound

What a difference a month can make.

Bottom of the table on Boxing Day 12 points adrift of safety, Mark Yates` side have performed at their best to earn three wins and a draw and cut the gap on Barrow to just four points.

It makes a stark contrast to the first half of this season in which well-rounded displays were few and far between.

This weekend`s opponents Dagenham and Redbridge were fortunate to come away with a point from the ATG in October, Jake Howell`s corner kick somehow evading everybody in the 94th minute to secure a point for the visitors.

John Still`s side have been frustratingly inconsistent this season, capable of scoring plenty but with defensive errors far too common – Jermaine Hylton, Kwame Thomas, Oladapo Afolayan and new signing Adi Yussuf will be rubbing their hands together.

And that is the state of things now. We`re not turning up to Dagenham and Redbridge hoping to earn a point – we`re looking for all three.

Vital Quotes:

Tim Flowers had a fine response to an interesting home chant last Saturday:
“How sh*t must you be we`re winning at home? We haven`t lost here for two months!”

Dagenham and Redbridge Team News:

John Still could make changes on the back of consecutive defeats and welcomes Bondz N`Gala back to the fold after his two-month loan spell with National League rivals Leyton Orient.

Player to watch: Fejiri Okenabirhie

Fejiri Okenabirhie has scored twice in his last three appearances and the England C international will look to continue his fine form against The Moors.

Solihull Moors Team News:

Adi Yussuf is expected to make his Solihull Moors debut after joining from relegation rivals Barrow. Simeon Maye has joined Rushall Olympic on loan while Luke Benbow and Joel Kettle have extended their loan spells.

Player to watch: Jermaine Hylton

When Jermaine Hylton is on song he`s a nightmare for defenders. Quick, tricky, intelligent and now finding his shooting boots.
