AFC Telford United have confirmed that former Solihull Moors goalkeeping coach Darren Acton has joined the club, as part of Gavin Cowan’s new look backroom team at the New Bucks Head.
Acton left his role with the Moors just over a week ago, due to work commitments not allowing him to continue as a goalkeeping coach with the club, as the Moors make the move to becoming a full-time professional club.
The 45-year-old now joins up with former Solihull Moors player/coach Gavin Cowan, who was recently given the manager’s post at Telford, becoming goalkeeping coach at the club in which he first started his goalkeeping career as a 16-year-old in 1989.
