Solihull Moors have confirmed the departure of defender Kristian Green, who leaves the club to join Southern League Premier Central side Tamworth.

Green joined Solihull Moors in January 2017 from Stourbridge and has gone on to make 50 league appearances for the club.

The 27-year-old has been a popular figure for the Moors throughout his time, having proven to be a dependable figure, featuring for the club in a variety of positions across the backline.

Green’s final appearance for the club came in the Moors’ defeat to Eastleigh on the final day of last season, where he was also rewarded with the captain’s armband.

The defender now joins up with Mike Fowler’s Tamworth side, a team in which Paul Green also recently departed for, becoming a player/coach at the Lamb. Former Moors players Joel Kettle, Tristian Dunkley and Jas Singh have also joined up with Tamworth ahead of the new season, while former forward Akwasi Asante will also be plying his trade with the club this season.
